Gossip - A joyful Noise

0

I am love love loving this new album from Gossip, i would say i like it even better then the first album of theirs i listened to which founded my love for them in the first place Standing in the way of control.

This album seems to have a lot lets attitude then the previous two i have listen to, there is more of a pop feel to this and I'm loving it. The songs are a lot less shouty the sound is much smoother. Beth's voice is still as powerful and amazing as ever.

If you were one of the few that didn't like Gossip's other albums this may be the one to change your mind, Its a lot more listener friendly. Having employed pop powerhouse Brian Higgins (who founded Xenomania, responsible for writing hits for Sugababes, Girls Aloud etc) as their producer the result has been 11 friendly dance pop tracks.

My top tracks: Get a job, Melody Emergency, Horns

What do women want????

1

I'm starting to feel sorry for the guys out there, if we don't know what we want how can we expect them to know? Is it just me?  I feel like I'm looking for the impossible, i see couples around me all the time that seem to have settled for the nearest person that showed some interest. Part of me wishes that i could settle but i just cant. I have tried dating the guys that i "should" be seeing, the guys that your nan would approve of but there is just no spark. On the other hand i have hooked up with the bad guys that give you that 1st initial thrill then try treating you like crap, and i have to much respect for myself to be putting up with that. So what is the answer? I'm going to write a full on list of everything i want my partner to be no holding back. I am fully aware i am no wonder woman myself so the chances of my dieing alone cause i think no1 is good enough for me are sky high. This is just a bit of fun. (based on completly reality)
I'm going to try and put this in order of importance but if I'm being real i want it all.

*Funny! I'm talking Russell Brand funny not you think your hilarious but your really not. I do giggle alot but dont let this confuse you a giggle and a laugh are very different.

*Attractive. How attractive depends on how funny you are the funnier you are the less attractive you have to be.

*Honest.

*Protective. I don't mean over bearing or crazy jealous, just that i would be safe with you and if something did go down you would be prepared to defend my honour.

*Ambition. Even if your working at pizza hut if you have bigger goals and are working towards them that's what matters.

*Talent. Talented guys are very sexy, being able to play an instrument or sing gives you extra hot points. If you can teach me something new that's a win.

*Knowing your own mind. Don't just agree with everything i say cause you want me to think we have lots in common that's so dull. Loving having a bit of a debate with someone who thinks differently to me.

*Fun. I love playing in the snow and board games and dancing to the words in song like you did when you were a kid.

*Emotionally stable. I am very chill and could never date an angry guy this my be a little extreme but if a guy shouted and cursed at me that would be it. Don't stress about the little things

*Crying. This is linked to the above this might sound harsh but i cant stand a crying man well at least not in the 1st few years of dating. If you want to cry that fine do it at home on your own into your pillow.

*Non judgemental. I am extremely open minded and cant stand prejudice towards anyone

*Patient. I am aware i have some issues and i need someone who will call me on my shit, When I'm being an idiot cause I'm scared i need them to hug me, kiss me on the forehead and say OK.

*Romantic. Now i haven't had much romance in my life but i want it so i need someone who will force it upon me as i may not deal with it too well at 1st. Oh and you must adore me of course!

*Mind reader. I know this is a little far fetched but all i mean is know when to text or call me and when to give me my space. I might be saying no its find just cause im too nice to tell you to jog on.

Now its that all really too much to ask for? Ha. God this all makes me sound like i think im so F***ing perfect but the man of my dreams with think i am wont he?

Balance me Hand Cream

0
I am obsessed! I literally can not get enough of this hand cream. Its is so smooth and silky, it just melts right into the skin. The aromatic smell instantly chills me out as soon as i take the cap off, sometimes i just sit in my room smell it, is that weird? lol.

OK so this is what the website had to say "A multi-award winning, seriously rich hand cream blended with a unique and uplifting blend of renowned ancient skin conditioners, to really turn back the clock on hard-working hands and make even the driest hands smooth and soft to touch"

I have never really been a hand cream fan before but this product has really converted me. I love how nice and thick the formula is and not at all greasy. The Balance Me team have made this so moisturising it even works wonders on my heels, soothing and softening after a hard days shopping.

This product is 98.8% Natural and i hear Kirsten Dunst is a big fan due to the pure and natural nature of this cream. Well if its good enough for the movie stars its certainly good enough for me and at only £6.00 for 30mls or £14.50 for 100ml who can resist.

Get more Sleep

0
Sleep-deprived women may be at greater risk of heart desease, according to the British Heart foundation. seven to eight hours is key, so turn all technology off by 10pm (yes even your mobile) and set you alarm for the same time everyday. There is also a link between having less then 6hours sleep and obesity, but its not clear why that is. Professor Brian Walker of Edinburgh Uni say poor sleep may cause an increase in levels of the stress hormone cortisol. High cortisol levels are associated with obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol he says. Your also far more likey to reach for high sugar and high fat snacks after a poor nights sleep.
So have a nice warm bubble bath a warm mug of milk and settle down for some much needed Zzzzzzz!

Cheap but Gorgeous

0

So wile ambling around Tesco this morning doing the boring food shop i spotted this amazing nail varnish out the corner of my eye.I got a little excited and thought yay this will brighten up and otherwise dull Sunday.

The varnish is from Rimmel and only £1.99 such a bargain for such a gorgeous colour. I have used quite a few Rimmel nail varnishes over the years and I'm loving these little pots, with a decent top coat ( i use Sally Hensen diamond shine) they last on my nails about 5 days i would say. Although having said that i don't really have "workers" hands so I'm not sure how they would hold up in tougher situations.

The colour 198 AZURE is the most amazing iridescent blue, almost like a light petrol. Two coats and your good to go. I love how super shiny the colour is as I'm not really a fan of this matt trend going around lol. The varnish doesn't take that long to dry either so good to add a pop of colour if your in a rush.
There are so many awesome colours in the I love lasting finish range and at only £1.99 i will defiantly be stocking up.

Tweeze me Baby

0
So i was plucking my mono-brow the other day and it was taking me forever, i kept losing grip, the hair kept snapping mid way and i poked myself in the eye (cant really blame that on bad tweezers though). Rahhhh i thought that's it, so with half plucked brows i headed down to my local boots in search of the perfect tweezers.

I found this awesome set by No7 they come in a black and cream foe-leather case that closes with a popper. You get 3 really good quality tweezers in this pack 1 slanted 1 straight and 1 pointed so you can get even those teeny tiny hair. A lot of tweezers i have bought in the past have been kind of blunt and even when new not great at grabbing the hairs, these and sharp making it so easy to just grab and pull (ouch).

At £12.50 that is defiantly the most i have spent on tweezers but i would say if you have the money these are the ones to get. I love the handy carry pouch so i can just pull them out and get that pesky hair i see taunting me in the mirror lol.

I now no longer look like Helga from Hey Arnold.

Caudalie Sorbet-crème

0

I was looking forward to trying out Caudalie products, i love the philosophy behind the brand. As a lover of wine who wouldnt want to try out a whole skin care line baised around how awesome grapes are lol.
So when i got my hands on the quenching sorbet-crème in my Carmine beauty box i couldn't wait to use it. I love that it has sorbet in the name it just sounds so yummy.

I first tried a small blob on my hand and really liked how quickly it melted into my skin, the smell it left behind reminded me of a crisp morning on holiday in a french villa, nice and fresh.
I started using this product morning and night replicing my usual moistriser for about a week, at first i was loving the feel of it but then after a few days i noticed that i had started to break out. Even though is ment to be a very light lotion i found it was making my skin much greasyer then usual. I stoped using this product and my skin cleared up again within a few days.
Over all i would say it was a nice product and im sure someone with dry or maybe combination skin would feel more benifits from this cream then i did, although im not sure its quite worth the £20 price tag.

This product as with all in the range contain Caudalie-unique ingredients:

  • Grape Water: Rich in minerals, vitamins, and polysaccharides: It can "increase hydration by 127%" and can cause a "62% reduction in sensitivity and discomfort").

  • Vinolevure: Vinolevure is an ingredient extracted from wine yeast. It can "protect the skin's natural defenses" and can hold up to "100 times its weight in water".

  • Grape Seed Polyphenols: These are powerful antioxidants taht block "100% of free radicals and are 10,000 times more effective than Vitamin E. They Stimulate microcirculation and help skin to maintain its hyaluronic acid content".
